MISSION STATEMENT
The objectives of VCFS Queensland, set out in its constitutional rules, are to:
• foster, lead and encourage, medical, therapeutic, social and other disciplined forms of research into velo-cardio-facial syndrome
• establish and maintain links with other associations in Australia and overseas
• establish, maintain and support VCFS sufferers, with a view to social contact, information sharing and the provision of mutual support and assistance in relation to the effects and consequences of VCFS upon its sufferers and their families
• convene, sponsor and/or administer tutorials, lectures, seminars and conventions for sharing, discussing and disseminating information in relation to VCFS
• establish links with governments and health funds to ensure the sufferers of VCFS have equitable access to funds for treatment and therapy
• establish a VCFS teaching facility and clinic in Queensland.
